Sable Gothic is a display typeface based on the proportions of a 1916 specimen of Frederic Goudy’s Times Gothic. It reinterprets those forms with high-contrast alterations, and Version 1.1 adds a few new looped characters. Sable Gothic debuted in an experimental type exhibition, displayed alongside other typefaces and typographic experiments.
